November 8, 2017 The Scientific Library of the National University of Pharmacy, together with the Department of Social Pharmacy with the purpose of popularizing the history of the Ukrainian state, drawing attention to the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people, patriotic education of students and the formation of national identity, organized and conducted a lesson in historical memory. The event was attended by teachers of the department assoc. prof. N Puzak and Ass. A Pastukhova together with the students of the 3rd year of the 7th and 8th groups of the specialty “Pharmacy”.

The event was timed to the holiday of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917 – 1921. listeners got acquainted with historical facts in the presentation of the employee of the library S Ukrainska about the beginning and stages of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921, also the students watched the historical documentary film “The History of the Ukrainian State” and got acquainted with the book exhibition “Ukraine in the struggle for state independence”, from which they learned that during the revolution the Ukrainian people for the first time in XX century created an independent national state, which in the form of various entities had all the signs of an independent state: territory, borders, symbols, authorities, army, money, language. For the first time after centuries of statelessness, the eastern and western Ukrainian lands united in one conciliar state.
